"Good writers write. They don't always write well, but they must write!"

I have read this quote today while researching some of the good writing practices. There are a gazillion essays, blog posts and books which offers advice on how to be successful with your writing, but they all seems to say the similar thing: You must write!

Here are some of the old strategies used to teach complex writing skills

1. Journaling: Sometimes most of the student’s just need to place pencil on the paper and daily journaling is a greatest way to teach those students on how to communicate themselves through the written word.

2. Classroom Discussion: A good traditional classroom discussion is still one of the best ways to teach kids and students to dig up deeper and improve knowledge, which will in turn transfer to their written work.

3. Writing Circles: Make a group of students, according to the reading stage and watch them out. It may also motivate and push each other as they work through a complex content and answer through writing and discussion.

Here are some of the new strategies used to teach complex writing skills

1. Blogging: A classroom blog is a large way for the students to work together with each other in a comfortable, written way.  One can use a device like School Net or any other tools in order to start a classroom blog. And this will allow students to post their own considerate articles, questions and comments.

2. Online literacy tools: There are lots of web-based literacy tools which will meet individual instructional needs for all students including stressed readers and ELL students, providing teachers an useful method of increasing their classroom instruction.

3. Online book unions: One can find an online forum where people discuss about books and ask the students to contribute their thoughts and reactions in writing. Or one can also start a class book club with the students using a private Facebook page.
