Strong research and essay writing skills are important for success in academic level. A common type of essay writing task is an article analysis essay, purpose is to evaluate the arguments and ideas presented in the article. Normally essays are encompassed of an introduction part, two or three supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. A well stated thesis of an essay tells the reader what to expect from the rest of the paper as well as solid research to support the thesis.

Read the article carefully and take notes with your essay in mind. Highlight meaningful passages and think critically about what you are reading.

Look into other sources to support main points of your essay and to collect ideas. They may have ideas that you can use to get a good understanding of the article you are writing about.

Find at least one quote related to the content that backs up each point that you have. It could be from the article itself or might be one you found in your research.

Use the topic sentences you created to outline the three supporting paragraphs. Be certain that each topic sentence should act as a base for the rest of the paragraph and should sum up each paragraph's content.

Construct a final concluding paragraph that should restate your main points in a new way. It does not have to be long and is better to have only a few sentences in length.
Edit your essay and ask someone else to review it as well. Read through your essay, checking for flaws and errors in logic.
